Today, my wife and I hiked up a mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. We really enjoyed the view and it was really nice to be outdoors.
The hike was 3 miles up the mountain and then the 3 mile trek to return. The difficulty of the hike was classified as “moderate”. Chapter 13 of I Corinthians impacted me this week. The chapter talks about “love” and its importance in our churches. The surrounding chapters also give it context and emphasis.
Chapters 12 & 14 are passages on spiritual gifts. There are 9 Gifts of the Spirit that God has given His church (12:8-10). The church is equipped to succeed.
Chapter 13 illustrates the role that “love” (Greek: agape) plays in the operation of the church.

Have you ever been to the garden store and saw a package of seeds with a beautiful picture of flowers or vegetables presented on the front? Maybe you have thought the same thing that I have, “That looks nice. Gardening must not be thhaaaat difficult.”
